In the deep dark bed,
Mothers pray their children
Will have daily bread.

2 God sends sun and showers,
Birds sing overhead,
While the wheat is growing
For our daily bread.

3 When the wheat is gathered,
Stored in barn and shed,
Then we all aree thankful
For our daily bread.
