Text: | Sing Alleluia Forth in Loyal Praise |
Tune: | MARTINS |
Composer: | Percy C. Buck |
Composer (desc.): | Erik Routley |
1 Sing Alleluia forth in loyal praise,
ye citizens of heav'n, O gladly raise
an endless Alleluia.
2 Ye powers that stand before th'eternal Light,
let all your choirs reecho to the height
an endless Alleluia.
3 Then let the Holy City raise the strain,
its merry songs resounding wake again
an endless Alleluia.
4 You blessed, who have joined the heav'nly throng,
triumphant, now take up the joyful song,
an endless Alleluia.
5 Your songs of victory shall ever ring,
your hymns which tell the honor of your kIng,
your endless Alleluia.
6 Such song is rest and food and deep delight
to souls redeemed; so let them all unite
in endless Alleluia.
7 And here on earth Gjjod's blessed name we praise,
whose grace adorns and brightens all our days.
with endless Alleluia.
8 Most blessed Lord, to thee our voices bring
unending glory: so to thee we sing
an endless Alleluia.
