1 Like Christ as one that serveth
In deep humility;
As one who never swerveth
From paths of purity.

Like Christ in ev’ry thing!
His image I will bear
When I shall see Him as He is,
And all His glory share.

2 Like Christ in gentle sweetness,
In true nobility;
Like Him in holy meekness,
In tender charity. [Refrain]

3 Like Christ in full dependence
Upon the Father’s will,
In His unwearied patience
Our mission to fulfill. [Refrain]

4 O Father, wilt Thou finish
The work in us begun,
Till we show forth completed
