Text: | The Master Calls |

Tune: | [Where are the reapers so needed] |
Composer: | Chas. H. Gabriel |
1 Where are the reapers so needed,
To gather in the grain?
Lo! an abundant harvest spreads
All ripened o’er the plain.
Refrain:
Hasten to the field;
Your trusty sickle wield;
No longer delaying,
In idleness straying;
The Master is calling for thee.
Answer Him today,
And gather while you may;
You cannot neglect it,
Despise or reject it,
Go forth, a reaper be.
2 Many already have answered
The Master’s call for aid;
Blessed the work, and well indeed
The reapers shall be paid. [Refrain]
3 Hasten to answer the summons—
You dare not long delay!
Harvest will soon be over; then
Waste not a single day. [Refrain]
