119:81-88b. My Soul for Thy Salvation Faints

1 My soul for Thy salvation faints,
But still I hope in Thee;
I long to see Thy promised help,
When You shall comfort me.

2 The statutes I do not forget,
Though wasting grief I know;
Thy servant's days are few, O LORD;
When will You judge my foe?

3 The proud, disdainful of Thy law,
Entrap me wrongfully;
O Thou, Whose law is just and true,
Help and deliver me.

4 Almost consumed, yet from Thy law
I have not turned away;
In lovingkindness give me strength
That I may still obey.
