119:145-152b | Psalms of Grace#119:153-160a | 119:153-160b |
Text: | Regard My Woes |
Author: | Richard Mant |
1 Regard my woes, relieve my pains.
For still my mind Your law retains.
Defend my cause, for You are true;
My perils quell, my life renew.
2 Your health the wicked comes not nigh,
For from Your statutes far they fly.
But true You are, and large Thy store
Of love, do You my life restore.
3 How fierce my foes! their crowd how great!
Yet cease I not on Thee to wait.
But who to keep Your statues fail,
I see their folly, and bewail.
4 Mark how I love Thy law! impart
Your grace, and still revive my heart!
True from the first Your Word; and sure
Thy judgments to the end endure.
