1 To bless with Joy thy chosen Race,
Do thou in Mercy, LORD, incline;
And cause the Brightness of thy Face,
On thy triumphant Saints to shine.
2 That so thy just and wond'rous Way,
May thro' the spacious World be known;
Whilst distant Lands their Homage pay,
And humbly thy Salvation own.
3 Let the rejoicing Nations join
To celebrate thy endless Fame;
Let all the World, O LORD, combine,
To bless and praise thy glorious Name.
4 O let them loudly shout and sing,
With grateful Joy and pious Mirth;
For thou the righteous Judge and King,
Shalt mildly govern all the Earth.
5 Let the rejoicing Nations join,
To celebrate thy endless Fame;
Let all the World, O LORD, combine
To bless and praise thy glorious Name.
6 Then shall the fruitful teeming Ground,
A large Increase of Wealth disclose;
And we with plenty shall be crown'd,
Which GOD, our GOD, on us bestows.
7 Then GOD upon our happy Land,
In constant Streams shall Blessings show'r;
And all the World in Awe shall stand,
Of his supreme Almgihty Pow'r.
