1 Let us adore th' eternal Word,
'Tis he our souls hath fed;
Thou art our living stream, O Lord,
And thou th' immortal bread.
2 Bless'd be the Lord, that gives his flesh
To nourish dying men;
And often spreads his table fresh,
Lest we should faint again.
3 Our souls shall draw their heav'nly breath
Whilst Jesus finds supplies;
Nor shall our graces sink to death,
For Jesus never dies.
4 The God of mercy be ador'd
who calls our souls from death,
Who saves by his redeeming word,
And new creating breath.
5 To praise the Father and the sons,
And Spirit all divine,
The One in Three, and Three in One,
Let saints and angels join.
