277. Marching with Song

1 Praise the Everlasting Father, soldiers young and strong,
Sing with joy your sweetest anthems as you march along;
Let the hosts of happy children swell the chorus grand
Of redemption o’er the land.

Refrain:
Marching, marching are the children, bringing offerings with singing;
Singing, singing, singing praises to their King!
Happy children tell with gladness of the Father’s love,—
Join the holy anthem sung in earth and heav’n above,—
On this glorious day of service for the Saviour, King,
As they all so sweetly sing.

2 Praise the King of earth and heaven on this happy day,
For the blessings of His kingdom and His holy sway;
Joyfully march on with singing till the world shall be
Filled with songs of jubilee! [Refrain]
