1 Look not on the clouds that gather
Darkly o’er thy path today,
But behold the blessed sunshine
God hath strewn along thy way.

Catch the radiant beams of beauty,
Emblem of his life divine;
Let his truth and blest example
In thy life forever shine.

2 See! the golden rays are streaming
From a loving Father’s hand,
Coming down our food to ripen
And to beautify the land. [Refrain]
