Text: | That We Might Be One! |
Author: | L. F. M. |
Tune: | [We once were lost in sin] |
Composer: | L. F. Martin |
1 We once were lost in sin,
All hopeless and undone;
But God, to save, His Son for us gave,
That we might all be one.
Refrain:
What wonderful love I see,--
God, sending His only Son,
To die on the tree for you and for me,
That we might all be one.
2 Yes, God so loved the world,
He sent His only Son;
A perfect plan, He gave unto man,
Thro' which we might be one. [Refrain]
3 May we, thro' Christ, complete
The work in us begun;
His voice in love, Still pleads from above,
That we may all be one. [Refrain]
4 This pray'r, the Savior prayed,
For us, excluding none;
"Keep them in peace, Till trials shall cease"
That we may all be one. [Refrain]
