183a. The lambs of Jesus:--who are they

1 The lambs of Jesus:--who are they,
But children that believe and pray,
That keep God's laws and ask his grace,
And seek a heavenly dwelling-place?

2 The lambs of Jesus!--they are meek,
The words of peace and truth they speak:
To all God's creatures they are kind,
And, like their Lord, of gentle mind.

3 The lambs of Jesus:--oh that we
Might of that blessed number be!
Lord, take us early to thy love,
And lead us to the field above.
