Text: | God’s Will is Best |
Author: | C. Austin Miles |
Tune: | [Across the mystic maze of years] |
Composer: | Adam Geibel |
1 Across the mystic maze of years
God draws a veil lest I might see
What grief and pain and weight of tears
Await to cast their lot with me.
Refrain:
Some day I know His face I’ll see,
He only knows when that shall be.
But I’m content with this to rest,
This is God’s way,
It must be best.
2 There is no woe that I must face
Nor evil hand nor gaunt despair,
But God will grant His keeping grace
To stay my soul in comfort there. [Refrain]
3 I am His child, He will not leave
His own to fall beneath the rod.
If wand’ring faith His love should grieve
He will forgive, for He is God. [Refrain]
