Text: | For all thy saints, O Lord |
Author: | Richard Mant, 1776-1848 |
Tune: | MOUNT EPHRAIM |
Composer: | Benjamin Milgrove, 1713-1810 |
1 For all thy saints, O Lord,
Who strove in thee to live,
Who followed thee, obeyed, adored,
Our grateful hymn receive.
2 For all thy saints, O Lord,
Who strove in thee to die,
Who counted thee their great reward,
Accept our thankful cry.
3 O Lord, thy name we bless,
And humbly pray that we
May follow them in holiness
Who lived and died in thee.
4 Thine earthly members fit
To join thy saints above,
In one communion ever knit,
One fellowship of love.
5 All praise to thee, O Lord,
The Father and the Son
And Holy Spirit, God adored
While endless ages run. Amen.
