and ransom captive Israel
that mourns in lonely exile here
until the Son of God appear.

shall come to you, O Israel!

2 O come, O wisdom from on high,
and order all far and nigh;
to us the path of knowledge show
and teach us in her ways to go. [Refrain]

and bring us comfort from afar!
Dispel the shadows of the night

4 O come, Desire of Nations, bind
