Text: | There is Room |
Author: | J. C. |
Tune: | ['Tis a wonderful story I'm telling] |
Composer: | James Colville |
1 'Tis a wonderful story I'm telling,
Such a story was ne'er told before,
Of a Saviour whose love is excelling,
'Tis the sweet, precious story of your.
It tells how He left heaven's glory,
For the manger, the Cross, and the tomb;
That in God's eternal city,
For sinners He might make room.
Chorus:
There is room in the realms of glory,
In the Saviour's home above;
Then, sinner, come! tarry no longer,
But accept God's gift of love.
2 Oh! what is your hope for the futher,
Oh! what do you hope to gain,
By remaining away from the Saviour,
Who has called thee so oft, but in vain.
The world has nougth it can give you
That will last beyond the tomb;
Then away heavy laden to Jesus,
The Saviour for you will make room. [Chorus]
3 Oh! what tho' the world hat its pleasures,
It cannot and never will give
Such a joy that will last thro' the ages
When earth's glitter has long ceased to live.
This joy you may have from the Saviour.
Who is coming, we know not how soon,
But we know in the mansions preparing,
Fro ransomed ones Jesus makes room. [Chorus]
