The mountains in its path;
The earthquake and the fire that went
Before the Lord in wrath,
Came not as spoilers to the prey,
But heralds to prepare His way.

Himself the still small voice made known,
In all His power and grace;
So be to me his mercy shown,
Terror to love give place:
Than will I hide my face, and stay
To hear what God the Lord will say.
