Text: | Safe In The Fold |

Tune: | [Sadly I wandered out in the night] |
Composer: | Charles L. Wright Sr. |
1 Sadly I wandered out in the night,
Far from the Savior, trembling in fright;
Mercy's sweet pleading came to my soul,
And to the Shepherd I gave control.
Refrain:
As I fell, dying, there at His feet,
I heard His voice so loving and sweet;
Cleansing He gave me, gladness untold,
Following Him I'm safe in the fold.
2 Ninety and nine were safe in the fold,
But one was missing, hungry and cold;
Over the mountains, dark thru the night,
He came and found me, showed me the light. [Refrain]
3 By the still waters Jesus will lead,
In love's green pastures my soul will feed;
Safely he'll guide to glories untold,
Life that is endless, safe in the fold. [Refrain]
