1 Lord, I pray, if today
Some should wrong or trouble me,
Make me kind, bring to mind
I have been forgiv'n by Thee.

2 Should there be joy for me,
Help me thank Thee as I should,
Let me through all I do
Praise Thee, Lord, for all things good.

3 If this day, Lord, I stray,
Show my heart the road to take,
Should I fear, be Thou near,
Hear my pray'r for Jesus' sake.

4 Lord, I pray, grant today
To all children ev'rywhere,
Should it be wise to Thee,
What I ask Thee in this pray'r.
