Text: | God's Way Is Best |
Author: | Rev. Frank A. Perkins |
Tune: | [I know not what is best for me] |
Composer: | Mrs. Mary Dake Fink |
1 I know not what is best for me,
My vision is so dim;
I only know God’s way is best,
And leave it all with Him.
Chorus:
He is so wise, so kind and good,
So loving and so true;
I know it’s safe to follow Him,
And all His pleasures do.
2 I’ll let Him choose the very path
He thinks is best for me;
I’ll go where’er Hi bids me go,
O’er mountain, plain, or sea. [Chorus]
3 If joy or grief, if ease or pain,
Should be God’s choice for me,
I pray, dear Lord, give me Thy grace,
And keep me true to Thee. [Chorus]
4 Tho’ now I only know in part,
I’ll trust Him for the rest,
For I am sure that God is good,
And know His way is best. [Chorus]
