128. There's a Land Beyond the Jordan

1 There's a land beyond the Jordan,
Where joys celestial reign,
Where the cares of life resigning,
We a heav'nly crown shall gain;
There's a land beyond the Jordan,
Oh glorious, happy thought,
We shall come into His presence,
For Christ our ransom bought.

2 There's a land beyond the Jordan,
And dear ones gone before,
Will be the first to greet us,
When we reach the other shore;
There's a land beyond the Jordan,
Oh, peaceful, heav'nly thought,
We shall come into the kingdom,
The blood of Jesus bought.

3 There's a land beyond the Jordan,
A land of endless day,
Our feet must toil to reach it,
But the Savior leads the way;
There's a land beyond the Jordan,
And blessed, blessed thought,
An entrance to that country,
For us our Savior bought.
