Tune: | [The kind Shepherd seeks for the wandering sheep] |
Composer: | F. A. Graves |
1 The kind Shepherd seeks for the wandering sheep,
Exposed to the storms and the cold;
His love never tires, and His eyes never sleep,
Till He brings them again to His fold.
Refrain:
Then come, O come home to the Father above,
His grace has provided for all;
It may be the last time in mercy and love
You ever will hear Jesus call.
2 ‘Tis Jesus, the Savior, whose voice you have heard,
To you he is calling today;
He calls by His goodness and tenderness too,
Then why will you longer delay? [Refrain]
3 Since the days of thy youth He has plead with you oft,
His pleadings have yet been in vain;
His great loving-kindness you could not deny,
If He never should call you again. [Refrain]
4 Then come to the Father, accept of His grace,
The raiment and feast in the hall;
Now turn from your sins and obey Him at once,
By hearing and heeding his call. [Refrain]
