Above the heavens’ created rounds,
your mercies, God, extend;
your truth outlives the narrow bounds
where time and nature end.

Your justice, Lord, maintains your throne,
though mountains melt away;
your judgments are a love unknown,
a deep unfathomed sea.

How excellent is your great love,
whence all our safety springs!
O never let my soul remove
from underneath your wings.
