Text: | My God, my King, your various praise |
Author: | Isaac Watts |
Tune: | HARKEN |
Composer: | Clark Kimberling |
My God, my King, your various praise
shall fill the hours of all my days;
let grace employ my humble tongue,
let truth and glory shape the song.
The wings of every hour shall bear
some thankful tribute to your ear;
and every setting sun shall see
new works of duty done by me.
Your truth and justice I'll proclaim;
your bounty flows, an endless stream;
your mercy swift, your anger slow,
confounding every stubborn foe.
God, who can tell your wondrous deeds!
Your greatness all our thought exceeds;
vast and unsearchable your ways;
vast and immortal be your praise!
