Everywhere you go;
Try to brighten, some way,
Lives of those you know.
If the day be dreary,
And the way seem long,
Try to make it brighter
By a bit of song.

2 Try to be a sunbeam
Shining for the Lord,
Living in His presence,
Feeding on His word.

Trust to Jesus’ guiding,
For with Him ‘tis light. [Refrain]

3 If you walk with Jesus,
Joyfully each day,
Trying to tell others
Of the blessed way.
Never fear temptation,
He’ll not let you fall;
Christ, the Lord, is near you
When you on Him call. [Refrain]

4 If your life is gladsome,
Full of joy and love,
It will point to Jesus,
And the life above.
If you are but faithful,
Through life little day,
You may show to others
God’s appointed way. [Refrain]
