262 | The Hymnal, Revised and Enlarged, as adopted by the General Convention of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the United States of America in the year of our Lord 1892#263 | 264 |
Text: | Ye Christian heralds, go proclaime |
Author: | B. H. Draper |
Tune: | [Ye Christian heralds, go proclaim] |
Composer: | C. Zeuner |
1 Ye Christian heralds, go proclaim
Salvation through Emmanuel's Name;
To distant climes the tidings bear,
And plant the Rose of Sharon there.
2 God shield you with a wall of fire,
With flaming zeal your breasts inspire,
Bid raging winds their fury cease,
And calm the savage breast to peace.
3 And when our labors all are o'er,
Then may we meet to part no more:
Meet, with the ransomed throng to fall,
And crown our Jesus Lord of all.
Amen.
