1 Soldiers for the King of glory,
Onward now with courage brave;
Hold aloft His royal standard,
And proclaim His pow’r to save.

Refrain:
Never weary in His service,
Never lay our armor down,
Till the fight of faith is ended,
And we wear the victor’s crown.

2 At His signal let us follow,
At His mandate let us go
To the foremost ranks of battle,
With our faces to the foes. [Refrain]

3 He has said that we shall conquer,
And His promise we believe;
He has said His loyal soldiers
Life eternal shall receive. [Refrain]

4 Onward! forward! firm and fearless
He will guide us with His eye,
And for ev’ry pain we suffer,
Joy will crown us by and by. [Refrain]
