498. Arrayed in White Garments

1 Arrayed in white garments all shining with gold,
The beautiful daughters of Zion behold;
All holy and happy, they wait on their King.
Their beauty and talents am off'ring they bring.

Refrain:
O daughters of Zion in beauty arrayed
Whose lives on the altar for Jesus are laid,
Be faithful and true, for ye some day shall stand,
With the King in His glory,
At the Father's right hand.

2 O daughters of Zion, your beauty of face,
Your beauty of mind and your excellent grace,
Your time and your talents the King doth require,
He calls for them all with exceeding desire. [Refrain]

3 O daughters of Zion, He's calling today,
From earth and its fashions arise and away;
Put on your bright robes and in beauty appear
Today in His presence–behold He is near. [Refrain]

4 O daughters of Zion, in peace or in war
Your heart and your service to Jesus are dear;
Be faithful and help, for the end draweth nigh,
The King in His glory will come by and by. [Refrain]

5 O daughters of Zion, what glory to be
A handmaid of Jesus from sin pure and free!
A princess of glory, forever to stand
In robes of wrought gold at the Saviour's right hand. [Refrain]
