1 Hold us, Saviour, to Thy will,
Lord, compel us to obey;
Give us power to fulfill
All Thou wishest us today.

2 Let us not the time defer,
Fully Thy commands to do;
Happy hearts in us prepare
All the way with Thee to go.

3 Lord, our flesh shrinks from the task,
Of a self-denying life;
Grace and wisdom now we ask
Boldly to endure the strife.
