103. I Am Resting Lord

1 I am resting, Lord, Thy promised grace upon,
Not a hope have I beside;
For my righteousness I trust what He has done,
In His truth I'm sanctified:

Refrain:
Yes, Thou alone art now my plea,
I rest my case just now with Thee;
My Wealth and Hope, my Rock and Stay,
Keep me faithful, Saviour, I pray.

2 I have found at last what satisfied my soul,
And produces peace within;
'Tis the faith of Christ that makes my spirit whole,
And each moment keeps from sin. [Refrain]

3 O the glorious rest I find in Him today!
O the joyous victory!
For His precious blood all sin doth wash away,
And the truth gives liberty. [Refrain]

4 O the precious hope now shining in my soul,
Glorious hope of life and heav'n!
What celestial scenes before my eyes unroll!
What assurance to me giv'n! [Refrain]
