29. O Jesus, In My Heart Instill

1 O Jesus, in my heart instill
Such fervent love for Thee
That I can find no peace until
Thy love abides in me.

2 Then shall this present day of grace
Be filled with joy and peace,
For Thou wilt me in love embrace
And bid my sorrow cease.

3 My heart in sin and sorrow lay
Till I with Thee arose;
Uphold me through the passing day,
Let evening bring repose.

4 Call, then, the weary sinner home
To Thy Jerusalem,
And crown Thy friend, from darkness come,
With Life's bright diadem.
