228. Th' Eternal Gates Lift Up Their Heads

1. Th' eternal gates lift up their heads;
The doors are opened wide;
The King of glory is gone up
Unto his Father's side.

2. You have gone up before us, Lord;
You have prepared a place,
That we may be where you are now
And look upon your face.

3. Lift up our hearts, lift up our minds,
And let your grace be giv'n,
That while we linger yet below,
Our treasure is in Heav'n.

4. Our hope, our love are found in you,
Seated at God's right hand;
Dwell in us now, that we may dwell
Forever in that land.
