0. The Hymn of Christian Methodism: “O Rapturous Scenes”

1. O rapturous scenes that wait the day,
When Thou shall call me home,
When I shall here no longer stay,
No longer weep and moan.

2. Long has my heart look'd up to Thee,
My Master and my King,
No other hand can make me free,
And to thy bosom bring.

3. What wondrous grace is this that brings,
My waiting soul to Thee,
That makes me scorn all earthly things,
That I may holy be?

4. Say gracious Lord, where am I now?
Am I Thy servant still?
Shall flesh and blood my soul o'erthrow?
And set at naught Thy will?

5. Nay, but my soul shall rise and fly,
To that bright world above;
The heav'nly Canaan in the sky,
The city of Thy love.

6, Hallelujah! the race is run!
Eternal life is gained.
My happiness has just begun,
The crown of life obtained!
