102. O thou God, who hearest prayer

1 O thou god, who hearest prayer
Every hour and everywhere,
For His sake, whose blood we plead,
Hear us in our hour of need;
Only hide not now thy face,
God of all-sufficient grace.

2 Hear and save us, gracious Lord,
For our trust is in thy word;
cleanse us from the stain of sin
That thy peace may rule within;
May each know himself thy child,
Ransomed, pardoned, reconciled.

3 Leave us not, our Strength, our Trust!
O remember we're by dust!
Leave us not again to stray;
Leave us not the tempter's prey;
Fix our hearts on things above;
Make us happy in thy love.

Amen.
