174. The Great Campaign

1 Lo, a great and mighty army now is marching thro’ the land!
Every soldier brave and loyal, true, and proud of his command;
With a common foe to conquer, and the battle just begun,
They press into the conflict, for the triumph must be won.

Refrain:
Salvation, and honor, and power, and glory,
Today, henceforth, forever, unto our King shall be,
Unto our King shall be,
Unto our King shall be;
We will bear the flag of conquest that shall make the nations free,
When Christ, our King, triumphant reigns from sea to sea.

2 “Forward!” cries the great Commander, and the mighty phalanx wings
Out into the field of action for the glorious King of kings;
Over hill and vale and mountain, while all nature’s voice replies,
Their “Glory, hallelujahs” fill the earth and rend the skies. [Refrain]

3 See, emblazoned on their banner is the name “Immanuel!”
‘Tis at His command, and in His might they march the foe to quell;
No retreat! in life or death no favor asked, no quarter giv’n,
Till shouts of vict’ry shake the world and fill the courts of heav’n. [Refrain]
