112. Holy Spirit, Now Descend

1 Holy Spirit, now descend,
Fill this sacred place;
On Thy presence we depend,
And Thy promised grace;
Hear our payer, Thyself impart,
Visit every waiting heart.

2 Holy Spirit, Thee we seek,
Let us find Thee here;
Make us holy, patient, meek,
Banish every fear;
Whatsoe’er our sorrows be,
Let us now rejoice in Thee.

3 Holy Spirit, be this hour
Fragrant with Thy love;
Let us feel Thy quickening power,
Lift our thoughts above;
Consecrate us, Lord, to Thee,
Now and through eternity.
