Text Information:Because Hebrew thought identified large, uncontrolled bodies of water with chaos, this flood imagery is an effective way to express overwhelming distress. In Christian practice Psalm 69 has been second only to Psalm 22 in its use as a foreshadowing of the sufferings of Christ.
