Text: | When I See His Face |
Author: | Harry Dixon Loes |
Tune: | [Often have I wondered why the King of glory] |
Composer: | Hilda B. Tovey |
1 Often have I wondered why the King of glory
Chose to give Himself a ransom for my soul;
But when I have finished telling her the story,
I shall learn why grace so free has made me whole.
Refrain:
I shall know it fully on the other shore,
Why His love so deigned to offer me His grace;
Then with clearer vision I shall love Him more,
I shall know it fully when I see His face.
2 In this world of sin I could not live without Him,
He whose loving kindness has been great indeed;
Constant are His arms of pow’r and love about me,
While I prove each moment He is all I need. [Refrain]
3 To this faithful Friend of sinners I am clinging,
Resting on His mercies I am satisfied;
All along the way my trusting heart is singing,
I shall know Him better on the other side. [Refrain]
