8. Lord, open Thou my heart to hear

1 LORD, open Thou my heart to hear,
And by Thy Word to me draw near,
Let me Thy Word still pure retain,
Let me Thy child and heir remain.

2 Thy Word doth move the inmost heart,
Thy Word doth perfect health impart,
Thy Word my soul with joy doth bless,
Thy Word brings peace and happiness.

3 Until we join the hosts that cry,
"Holy art Thou, O Lord most High!"
And 'mid the light of that blest place
shall gaze upon Thee face to face.

4 Glory to God, the Father, Son,
And Holy Spirit, Three in One!
To Thee, O Blessed Trinity,
Be praise throughout eternity!
