1 God of our mother’s home of old,
Lord of her beauty, pow’r and grace,
We hail with joy the sacred fold,
And all her virtues gladly trace.

Refrain:
God of our mothers, guide our way,
In the paths of peace we pray.

2 Can we forget that sacred shrine,
Where mother knelt at evening hour,
Before the throne of grace divine,
And found the secret of her pow’r? [Refrain]

3 The altar fires of love we’ll burn,
In mem’ry of our mother’s home,
And never from her God to turn,
Or in the way of ins to roam. [Refrain]
