Text: | His Little Ones |
Author: | C. M. S. |
Tune: | [To the busy Saviour long ago] |
Composer: | C. M. Seamans |
1. To the busy Saviour long ago,
Mothers brought their jewels rare;
While disciples would not have it so,
Jesus blessed them then and there.
Chorus:
Jesus finds for little ones a place,
Where they rest from all alarms;
Beams of pleasure shine upon his face,
As he takes them in his arms.
2. By the shores of lovely Galilee,
Some where have the Master tell
Who should greatest in his kingdom be
Who in honor should excel. [Chorus]
3. Jesus called a little child and said,
Ye must all converted be;
And as humbly as this child be led
If you would my kingdom see. [Chorus]
4. At the Father's blessed throne of grace,
Holy angels bright and fair,
Daily do appear before his face,
Guarding them with watchful care. [Chorus]
