Text: | Thou God Seest Me |
Author: | C. M. S. |
Tune: | [Where'er I am by day or night] |
Composer: | C. M. Seamans |
1. Where'er I am by day or night,
On land or on the sea,
I cannot hide me from thy sight,
For "thou God seest me."
2. While at my study, work, or play,
Whate'er my conduct be,
'Tis not unknown for one brief day,
For "thou God seest me."
3. Not only words and deeds are known,
But thoughts are seen of thee;
Tho' thorns or roses may be sown,
'Tis "thou God seest me."
4. Then help me, Lord, each hour to live,
I pray on bended knee,
That I may faithful service give,
For "thou God seest me."
