5754. Rejoice with Me (Atchinson)

1. Rejoice with me, for now I’m free,
I joy in a new pleasure;
From God above, the gift of love
Is mine in fullest measure.

Refrain
Rejoice, rejoice, Christ is my choice,
His cross alone my glory;
While life shall last, when death is past,
I’ll sing the joyful story.

2. Once vile with sin, Christ makes me clean,
Gone is all condemnation,
For I believe and now receive
A full and free salvation. [Refrain]

3. In Christ I live, and He doth give,
Great joy where once was sadness;
And in this way, from day to day,
My life is filled with gladness. [Refrain]

4. To all proclaim His wondrous name,
Repeat the old, old story;
Till work is done and Heaven won,
Then praise Him more in glory. [Refrain]
