Text: | A Bright And Glorious Hope |
Author: | Anonymous |
Tune: | ST. SAVIOUR |
Composer: | Frederick George Baker |

1 A bright and glorious hope is ours,
We have no portion here;
Our hearts would seek the things above,
Till Thou, Lord, shalt appear.
2 The world thro’ which we pass is that
Which crucified the Lord,
And how can we have any joy
Where Thou art still ignored?
3 The time is hastening swiftly on
When He will come again,
And o’er the earth, renewed and blessed,
With all His saints to reign.
4 To us ’tis giv’n to suffer still,
Until that joyful hour;
And greater glory this we deem
Than earthly pomp or power.
