Text: | Hide Not Thy Face |
Author: | Agnes L. Rosacker |
Tune: | CHICKASHA |
Composer: | George W. Anderson |
Media: | MIDI file |
1 Hide not Thy face from me, O Lord,
The path was dark that I have trod;
No light, no sunshine could I see,
When Thou didst hide Thy face from me;
But Thy dear smile makes sweet sunshine,
To fill this weary heart of mine.
2 Low at Thy cross, on bended knee,
I seek a blessing, Lord, from Thee;
Lift up my heart in praise and song,
And let the song-wave roll along,
Till other souls shall catch the strain
And sing aloud the glad refrain.
3 O let my life a blessing be,
A living light to shine for Thee;
A light of love in darkness bring
To saddened souls now lost in sin,
To point them to the heav’nly place,
In joy to see Thee face to face.
