13113. Glory In The Highest

1 Let the angel hosts on high and the sons of men
In a happy song of praise combine;
God’s salvation now appears,
It shall crown the coming years
With the comfort of a hope all divine.

Refrain:
Then glory in the highest let us sing!
Should aloud the heav’nly chorus;
Glory be to God on high,
Let the earth to heav’n reply,
As the Savior comes with light and with love.

2 O how glorious is the news! it can ne’er grow old;
Let us tell it o’er and o’er again;
Let us trumpet notes employ,
Wake the earth to peace and joy,
Christ the Lord has come to dwell among men. [Refrain]

3 What a gift to us is Christ! what a treasure vast!
He is more than all the world beside;
We may see His glory here,
But ’twill more and more appear,
While eternal years in Him we abide. [Refrain]
