13013. Hear Him Pleading

1 Weary soul, bowed down in sorrow,
Turn to Christ, the Lord, today;
Say not in thine heart, tomorrow,
But believe now while you may.

Refrain:
Hear Him pleading, gently pleading,
Come to Him without delay;
For your soul He’s interceding;
Come, His blessed Word obey.

2 With the Savior’s promised blessing,
Wealth of earth can not compare;
Come at once, His name confessing,
That His glory you may share. [Refrain]

3 He will give you life eternal,
Pleasures too, that ne’er decay,
In a land of joy supernal,
If you will His Word obey. [Refrain]

4 Cease your wandering, now so dreary,
Seek for sweet and peaceful rest;
Hungry, thirsty, or aweary,
Come and be forever blest. [Refrain]
