1 Shout the tidings of salvation
To the aged and the young,
Till the precious invitation
Waken every heart and tongue.

Send the sound the earth around,
From the rising to the setting of the sun,
Till each gathering crowd shall proclaim aloud,
The glorious work is done.

2 Shout the tidings of salvation
O'er the prairies of the west,
Till each gathering congregation
With the gospel sound is blest. [Refrain]

Mingling with the ocean's roar,
Till the ships of every nation
Bear the news from shore to shore. [Refrain]

O'er the islands of the sea,
Till, in humble adoration,
