Nor let Thy mercy cease;
From Satan's might defend us,
And grant our souls release.

Sustain us by Thy Word,
That we with all Thy people
To life may be restored.

Thou Light of endless light,
That we may never wander
Astray in error's night.

4 Abide, and let Thy blessing,
Lord, rest on us alway;
All needful strength and graces
Grant Thou us day by day.

5 Abide, our Strength and Refuge,
With us till life's last hour,
That world and Satan never
Our weakness overpower.

6 Abide, O faithful Saviour,
Among us with Thy love;
Grant steadfastness, and help us
To reach our home above.
