CCXXII | Church Hymn Book#CCXXIII | CCXXIV |
1 Now my departure is at hand;
From hence I must remove!
To join the bless'd celestial band
In the bright realms above.
2 My warfare and contests are o'er,
And I can welcome death;
In spite of sin and Satan's pow'r,
I fought and kept the faith.
3 And thus I finished my course,
And passed safely through;
My Lord who conquers ev'ry force,
Made me to conquer too.
4 My conflicts and debates are pass'd,
And my salvation seal'd;
My victories are gain'd at last,
Now as I quit the field.
5 The crown of life laid up for me:
And all who love the Lord;
For all my suff'rings here shall be
A gracious great reward.
